Committed to equal opportunities: awarding of social scholarships at UPC

March 21, 2025

Ineco has awarded two social scholarships at the Polytechnic University of Catalonia to students from the Bachelor's Degree in Telecommunication Technologies and Services Engineering and the Master's Degree in Computer Engineering.

Anna Sánchez, Territorial Manager for Catalonia, and Almudena Torres, Manager of Recruitment and Talent Attraction, represented us at this event, part of Ineco’s Social Scholarship Program. This initiative was launched in 2022 with the conviction that opportunities for personal and professional growth should not be determined by socioeconomic background. Since its inception, the company has awarded more than 110 scholarships, covering study-related expenses such as tuition, materials, accommodation, or meals, tailored to the needs of each recipient.

In its 2024 edition, the program allocated nearly €200,000 and granted 50 scholarships to young people facing economic, family, or disability-related hardships. These grants are not solely based on academic records, but rather recognize effort, resilience, and ambition, offering a concrete response to those who need it most. The success of the program has been made possible thanks to the collaboration of 17 entities, including universities, foundations, and NGOs, as well as the commitment of Ineco’s team, whose employees contribute financially to fund a significant portion of these grants.

Looking ahead to 2025, Ineco plans to expand the program’s reach, strengthening its commitment to equal opportunities and talent development. With this initiative, the company continues to move forward in its mission to build a fairer and more inclusive society, where all young people have the chance to reach their full potential without barriers.
