The Ineco head office was chosen for the workshop.
Ineco, as a founding partner of the SIAM (Spanish Innovative Air Mobility) cluster, organised the first workshop on "Design of Harmonised Airports in the Urban Environment".
More than 40 companies participated in this workshop, in which a collaborative ecosystem of regulators, operators, eVTOL manufacturers, designers, consultants, engineers, architects and construction companies contributed their points of view on the parameters of the user aircraft that affect the design of the infrastructure, the requirements before emergency situations, the design of the ground side, the interface between aircraft and passengers or the facilities required depending on the type of airport.
This working day was the first of four to be held under this initiative. Subsequent sessions are planned to cover topics such as construction, operation and regulation of airfields, and to produce a document of lessons learned and recommendations, summarising all aspects covered.
The non-profit SIAM Cluster Association aims to facilitate the market entry of innovations by collaborating in the creation of new disruptive business models in the field of innovative air mobility. The association consists of ITG, Expodrónica and Ineco as founding partners and NTT Data and Pinsent Masons as constituent partners. SIAM aims to manage, promote, defend, coordinate and represent the common interests of its members, as well as to enhance their positioning and existing opportunities in the sectors related to the field of innovative air mobility, promoting the development of the necessary technology and related standards.
