Sara García, Planning and Sustainable Mobility Manager, has participated in the Operational Safety Week that Grupo Aeroportuario del Pacífico (GAP) has been organising uninterruptedly since 2019.

Under the title "Operations with reduced runway length", Sara García explained the operational and design implications of the displacement or relocation of the threshold and its effect on operational safety. To this end, it has developed topics such as the design and operation under these conditions, several cases of threshold shifts at Spanish airports, the possible reasons that may give rise to the need to carry out these shifts and the implications for operational safety.

Ineco has been collaborating with GAP since 2003, developing, among others, the Master Development Programmes for the twelve airports that GAP manages, operates and develops in the Pacific and Central Mexico regions. Recently, GAP has once again placed its trust in our company to carry them out in the 2025-2039 timeframe.

The event brought together more than 4,500 attendees from eight different countries interested in these conferences to disseminate and socialise the efforts made by the industry and the aeronautical authorities for the benefit of operational safety.
