Ineco has been invited to participate in the Joint Working Group on TEN-T Transport Infrastructure Climate Resilience, organised by the European Commission, which took place in Valencia.

Sergio Mora, Climate Change and Energy Transition Manager, shared knowledge and experiences on the adaptation of the railway sector to the challenges of climate change. In his speech, in the session dedicated to the "Assessment of the Resilience of the Railway Network", he presented Ineco's methodology for identifying vulnerabilities in railway infrastructures in the face of extreme climatic events, especially high rainfall and flooding. It also highlighted the importance of integrating technology and data analysis into decision-making, enabling infrastructure managers to anticipate potential impacts and ensure continuity of service.

The event brought together key representatives from the European Union, national authorities and industry experts and was attended by leading authorities such as the Commissioner for the Development of the Mediterranean Corridor in Spain, Josep Vic Vicneo in Spain, Josep Vicent Boira, and the Commissioner for the Development of the Atlantic Corridor, José Antonio Sebastián Ruiz, as well as the European coordinators of these corridors, Mathieu Grosch and Carlo Secchi.
