Helipads are crucial tools in the fight against forest fires.
Ineco will collaborate with the Ministry of Ecological Transition and Demographic Challenge in the aeronautical management of fire-fighting bases throughout the country. These infrastructures are operations centre for the aerial resources involved in fire-fighting operations. The project, which will last three years, includes installations at strategic points such as Daroca, Lubia, Laza and Puerto del Pico, among others.
This project is in addition to the work that Ineco is carrying out in the management of works for the construction of these new bases. The company thus brings its extensive experience in aeronautical infrastructure certification to fire-fighting. The tasks include document preparation, technical assistance for the change of manager and operational management of the bases.
Helipads are crucial tools in the fight against forest fires. They are used by fire brigades to transport emergency crews rapidly to areas that are difficult to access, to enable the operation of aerial water and retardant aerial assets, for reconnaissance and surveillance of affected areas, as well as for evacuation actions. This mobility has so far been based on helicopters, but in the future it will incorporate unmanned aircraft. These systems will provide real-time surveillance, early fire detection, damage assessment and logistical support, significantly enhancing current capabilities.
