Ineco Drives Open Innovation Through a Series of Workshops

December 12, 2024

Ineco has launched a series of four workshops focusing on key technological challenges, where industry experts and Ineco staff will work together. The aim of these workshops is to identify innovative solutions and provide feedback for the Innovation 2025 Call for Proposals, inviting employees to propose initiatives based on co-creation with technology companies.

The first day was held in the company's Sala Ágora and brought together a multidisciplinary team from Ineco, made up of experts in engineering and business consultancy, with leading companies in the sector such as Elliot Cloud, Serimag, Slango, Schaman, Fracttal Tech, Anjana Data SL, WhiteBox and Aplanet, who presented solutions focused on the digitisation of processes.

Víctor Bustos, Innovation Manager, pointed out that "Ineco is innovation. We strongly believe in change not only as an adaptation mechanism, but as a key attitude to be part of the future. This conviction leads us to continually explore initiatives that provide us with new perspectives, that stimulate and guide our creativity." He also stressed that: "after the enormously positive experience of the Hackathon, the iCampus programme with universities, or the success of co-creation with clients in the call for internal projects, we now want to open up our innovation to external collaborators with the aim of identifying potential use cases of interest to Ineco".

This interactive format has allowed the exploration of synergies and the generation of innovative ideas in areas such as data intelligence, automation and project management.

The company thus reinforces its commitment to open innovation as a strategic pillar to face the challenges of the sector and strengthen its position in an increasingly competitive global market. This approach seeks to foster collaboration with niche technology companies, startups, scaleups and research centres, promoting the exchange of ideas, knowledge and cutting-edge technologies. Subsequent workshops are planned to address strategic topics such as digital twins, cybersecurity and sustainability.

With this conference, Ineco reaffirms its position as a benchmark in engineering and transport, leading the development of innovative solutions based on a model of co-creation with customers, which has enabled it to launch solutions based on data science and AI, such as its automated railway track auscultation method, Digav, or new datalabs projects on which Ineco is currently working.
