Rocío Gutierrez, together with the moderator, Ane Fernández from MAFEX, and Eduardo Moya, from Thales.
Rocío Gutiérrez, Commercial Deputy Director and Head of the European Delegation, participated in the Greece Forum, organised by MAFEX. During the round table on the challenges and opportunities of the Greek market for Spanish companies, in which Eduardo Moya, (commercial manager of the International Market at Thales) also participated, Rocío Gutiérrez explained the experience of making appearance in Greece with the Heraklion airport project as a different case to the railway project. Also, she explained the evolution of the contract and the relationship with the Greek engineering ecosystem. Our colleague emphasised the importance of the various challenges posed by the Greek market, both as an island territory and because of the strategic geopolitical positioning that the country has recently acquired.
Finally, both speakers focused their recommendations to the attendees on the development of long-term business plans, the search for and inclusion of local profiles in the teams, the understanding of various local factors and, above all, the knowledge and close collaboration with local companies as part of the future success of the Spanish industry in projects in the Hellenic country.
Pantelis Gassios, Director of the Economic & Commercial Office of the Embassy of Greece in Spain, also participated in this session providing an overview of the Greek economy and markets. Subsequently, Mafex, through the presentation of Aitor Ballestero, presented the Focus On Greece Report, in which all current and future projects in the entire spectrum of railway infrastructure, both conventional and urban transport, are extensively developed.
