Javier Anibarro and Carlos Cubillo, Ineco experts in high-speed rail, have presented lessons learned in the Spanish network applicable to the States.
The United States High Speed Rail Association (USHSR) has invited Ineco to participate in its next Executive Committee. Following the recent publication of the efficiency report of the Spanish high-speed model by the Ministry of Transport and Sustainable Mobility engineering, USHSR has identified the Spanish case as an example in terms of leadership and efficient development. It has therefore invited experts from Ineco to present the report and its guidelines.
Javier Anibarro and Carlos Cubillo, Ineco experts in high-speed rail, have presented lessons learned in the Spanish network applicable to the States. In their speech they highlighted that Spain has developed the second most extensive high-speed network at international level with one of the lowest construction costs per kilometre in the world and the lowest among the countries of the European Union. The reasons behind this success have also been analysed, with a comparison with the US case.
USHSR is an association made up of key industry players such as engineering companies, construction companies, operators and manufacturers that seeks to promote the deployment of high-speed rail infrastructure in the USA.
Our company has participated in projects as important for the country as the design, construction, operation and maintenance of the Texas Bullet Train, which will link North Texas with Houston, or the consultancy for the transformation of the accesses to New York's Penn Station. The future high-speed rail line between Los Angeles and San Francisco, which has recently received financial backing from the Biden Administration, is one of Ineco's focuses of interest.
