For yet another year, Ineco is participating in the global initiative Open Government Week to bring public talent closer to the public. This year, a group of 30 high school, vocational training and university students were able to learn about our commitment to innovation at Ineco's Tech Garage. A space open to in-house teams to develop ideas that will enable us to move towards sustainable mobility, digital transformation, AI and the fight against climate change.
During the conference, in addition to learning about our grant programme from the Recruitment team, they were also able to try out a sample of our technological capabilities thanks to our drone and vertiport simulators, our BIM developments or with DiGAV, the visual inspection device for the maintenance of railway tracks. Thanks to analytical processes, based on artificial intelligence and image processing algorithms, it is possible to process all the information collected and automatically detect defects such as missing assets, correct positioning, automatic asset inventory or ballast shoulder assessment.
Open Government Week is a worldwide initiative promoted by the Open Government Partnership (Open Gov Week), which is being held these days in Spain. Its main objective is to bring public administrations closer to citizens, based on the principles of Open Government: transparency, accountability, citizen participation, public integrity and collaboration.
Thanks to actions like this, the company also aims to make STEAM visible as disciplines with a high social value that allow the development of professional careers such as engineering, with a direct impact on people's quality of life.
