The European Union has become the first region in the world to legislate on the uses of artificial intelligence, its limits, the protection of citizens' fundamental rights and participation in its governance, while guaranteeing the competitiveness of our companies.

Ineco has supported the Secretary of State for Digitalisation and Artificial Intelligence (SEDIA) of the Ministry of Digital Transformation in drafting the first international regulation on Artificial Intelligence (AI).

Our company collaborates with SEDIA in numerous actions related to the Spanish Presidency of the European Union, based on the Digital Spain Strategy 2026. Other initiatives include the holding of working groups for the signing of this regulation, the possible adoption of the Council of Europe's Framework Convention on AI and the presentation of preliminary results of the AI Sandbox, which is led by Spain, as well as the launch of the Spanish AI Oversight Agency. Ineco also supports SEDIA in other actions, including those developed within the framework of legislative negotiations related to Cyber Resilience, as cybersecurity has become a priority; or in the negotiations on the regulation for an Interoperable Europe and legislative proposals for the next mandate of the European Commission in the area of Neurotechnologies.

With this project, Ineco has positioned itself as an important player in the development of artificial intelligence in Europe, thanks also to its nearly ten years of experience in its use both in projects for clients and in developing its own solutions.
