A moment from the visit to the works
The president of Ineco, Sergio Vázquez Torrón, visited the company's team in Kuwait to share first-hand the important role they are playing in the development of the country's main airport infrastructure.
Ineco leads the consortium, together with the local firms KUD (Kuwait United Development) and Dar Al Jazeera Consultants, in charge of managing the project for the expansion of Kuwait International Airport, in addition to carrying out the coordination work for the development and commissioning of the new terminal, which has more than 700,000 m2, with LEED Gold environmental certification and which will serve more than 25 million passengers.
The president of Ineco has had the opportunity to visit in person the airport works and see the magnitude of the work being carried out. An Ineco team of 13 people are working on this airport expansion project, where they are in charge of leading both the PMC (Project Management Construction) and ORAT (Operational Readiness and Airport Transfer) tasks, thus assuming the integrated management of the works and the future start-up of the expansion for its full operation. The team led by Ineco is reinforced by local firms to complete the more than 50 people working on the project.
Various meetings
Accompanied by the Director General of International Business, Ainhoa Zubieta; the Director of International Projects, Juan Ramón Hernández; and the project manager, Santiago Gómez de Olea; the president of Ineco held various meetings with the Spanish Ambassador in Kuwait, Miguel Moro, and with senior representatives of the Ministry of Public Works and Municipal Affairs of Kuwait.
The company has been working in Kuwait since 2006, participating in important projects for the development of its infrastructure such as studies for the master plan of the metropolitan rapid transit system and the project management of the actions of the master plan of the international airport from 2011 to 2016.
