The president of Ineco, Sergio Vázquez Torrón, received the award at this event
The Association of Women Against Abuse (MUM) has awarded a prize to Ineco, the engineering and consultancy of the Ministry of Transport, Mobility and Urban Agenda, for its unconditional support to victims of gender-based violence, as well as for its defence of equality between people and the eradication of violence against women.
Since 2020, Ineco has been collaborating with MUM and the Eslabón Association as part of the Horizonte Programme promoted by this public company, an initiative aimed at raising awareness of violence against women and providing support for women and their children who suffer from it by signing collaboration agreements with associations that help in this field. Among other actions, Ineco has already incorporated three professional users of the MUM Association in the company and has trained another 12 women, 4 of whom have already entered the labour market. Since its launch, the Horizonte programme has continued to grow, incorporating new voices, such as those of the Women's Foundation and the Victoria Association, which has allowed it to extend the scope of its aid to women victims of this scourge. In total, the Horizon Programme has enabled Ineco to incorporate 9 women into the company and train 32 with its "De vuelta al empleo (Back to Work)" itinerary.
Ineco has also recently extended its support through the promotion of a new scholarship programme, a line of action that is making it possible to support university studies for orphans and children of victims of gender violence, in collaboration with the four associations mentioned above.
The president of Ineco, Sergio Vázquez Torrón, received the award at this event, held at the Ateneo de Madrid, stressing that "this is a recognition that demonstrates the commitment, not only of the company, but of all the teams and professionals that make it up".
The MUM Association is a non-profit organisation that was founded in 2010 with the aim of helping, accompanying and protecting women who are victims of psychological, sexual and/or economic abuse. Since its creation, its objective has been to ensure that these women become survivors, attending to their personal development for their full incorporation into society.
