With a multidisciplinary team of around 300 professionals including engineers, legal, administrative and economists, Andalusia has consolidated its position as one of the most important territorial delegations for the engineering and public consultancy firm, Ineco. The company intends to reinforce its team with 40 new vacancies (10 of them within the framework of the public employment offer as a state-owned company) with technical profiles in disciplines such as civil engineering, systems, environmental and topography, among others.

This was confirmed by the president of Ineco, Sergio Vázquez Torrón, during the meeting he held with the teams in Seville. ‘Ineco has been strongly established in Andalusia, and specifically in Seville, for more than three decades. We are a reference and relevant agent in the transformation of this region. That is why we have always been involved in the projects with the greatest impact,’he said.

Ineco is active in all eight provinces and has recently opened a new office in Algeciras, where it will have a new team focused mainly on railway projects to improve the land accessibility of ports and the design of freight terminals and workshops.

A new office in Algeciras to boost port activity

Ports have acquired a prominent importance for Ineco, multiplying its activity by 40 in the last five years and doubling its team of experts. Among the work being carried out, the collaboration with the Port Authority of the Bay of Algeciras to extend and improve the connections of the port stands out and includes references such as the last mile rail project, which has recently been awarded as European Project of the Month by the European Information Network in Andalusia.

In the railway sector, Ineco is involved in relevant actions such as the integration of the high-speed railway in Almeria, within the framework of the deployment of the Mediterranean Corridor, or the monitoring and control of infrastructure, superstructure and installations of the high-speed line South.

The company maintains its activity for the Andalusian roads or environmental projects such as the channelling of the Guadalhorce river, a key project for the city of Malaga. In its drive for digitalisation, the company is also in charge of the digital transformation of the Instituto Cervantes.

In addition, from the Andalusian offices, Ineco is also carrying out important international projects such as the high-speed railway in the United Kingdom, the development of Rail Baltica, (the corridor that will link the Baltic republics to the Trans-European Transport Network TEN-t) and the Definitive Engineering Study (EDI) of the first mountain motorway in Peru.
