A moment of the presentation by Ineco's president
CongrEGA, the Portuguese and Ibero-American congress on engineering asset management, brought together experts from the sector to address the challenges necessary to maximise the value of infrastructures and extend their useful life.
The president of Ineco, Sergio Vázquez Torrón, participated, last Wednesday, with the talk entitled ‘La buena vida de las infraestructuras’, in which he highlighted "the long-term approach to infrastructure policy with a proactive focus, centred on the optimisation of public resources, operational efficiency and sustainable development throughout the entire life cycle".
A comprehensive perspective of the projects that, as Sergio Vázquez Torrón pointed out, "Ineco has in its DNA as a public company in Spain, one of the countries in the world from which we can learn the most lessons on how to manage railway assets efficiently". A know-how in asset management that has allowed Ineco to be the only Spanish company in charge of supervising the maintenance of 100% of the Spanish high-speed network.
Ineco also participated in congrEGA in the round table on digital transformation in railway infrastructure, where Rocío Gutiérrez, Ineco's deputy commercial director for Europe, highlighted "the paradigm that digital transformation represents for railroads in the 21st century, just as railroads were for industry in the 19th century" and emphasized the importance of people as the hegemonic element in the digitalization process, as well as the BIM method for implementing efficient maintenance management systems.
