Juan Gabriel Arroyo, expert in CNS - ATM Systems, gave a presentation during this important event on the new tool for monitoring the structural health of road infrastructures, InecoSAR. Based on artificial intelligence techniques and the analysis of radar images from theSentinel-1 satellites of Copernicus, the European Earth observation programme, this solution developed by Ineco monitors displacements and deformations of any type of infrastructure. Thanks to these studies, it is possible to understand the movements that the ground has undergone and to know whether they are active or not, which helps us to opt for different layout alternatives in the design phase of linear works and to save future maintenance costs. In addition, it facilitates data-driven maintenance decisions, extending the scale at which surveys can be carried out, far beyond conventional monitoring, and can monitor the structure itself and the surrounding terrain.
This biennial congress has become a forum for the space community to come together, share developments and talk about the challenges and threats seen in the future, as well as to communicate the scope, impact and contribution of space engineering to society.
