neco has received the Corresponsables 2024 Award, in the category of Public Administrations and Companies, for the IngenioSOS Programme.
Through this initiative, Ineco develops corporate volunteer projects in the field of engineering in developing countries, with the collaboration of the company's professionals, who place their training and technical knowledge at the disposal of the solidarity projects. Furthermore, Ineco additionally finances the derived actions.
Throughout its first five editions, the IngenioSOS Programme has been active in 13 countries in Africa, Latin America and Asia. In short, fifteen projects, led by eleven women and two men from the company, in which there have been 73 volunteer participants and which have directly benefited more than 1 million people.
Celestino Rodríguez, Corporate Coordination Executive Director at Ineco, highlighted the value of the ingenioSOS Programme as the result of an equation that combines the human quality and technical quality of the company's professionals, emphasising that "a more efficient, more innovative and more competitive company is a better company, yes. But a better company is also one that is more human, more sensitive and reacts to social injustices", core elements that are embedded in Ineco's DNA.
This award is further proof of Ineco's firm commitment to society since its origins, integrating social, labour and environmental concerns into its strategy and management, as part of the 'Un Nuevo Impulso' (A Fresh Approach) Strategic Plan, as one of its seven objectives.
Since 2005 and with a presence in all Spanish-speaking countries, Corresponsables has established itself as a benchmark in responsible communication for all those organisations and individuals who wish to highlight their responsible activities in order to build, together, a better society.
