Institutional meeting with the President of Costa Rica
As part of the official visit to Spain of Carlos Andrés Alvarado Quesada, president of Costa Rica, the president of Ineco, Sergio Vázquez Torrón, participated in the business meeting organised by Casa Real.
Our company has been present in this country since 1999, developing works in all transport means. Currently, and since 2016, Ineco has been working for the Ministry of Public Works and Transportation on the Administrative, Legal and Environmental Management contracts PIT and PIV-APP. The first project, which began in 2016, aims to contribute to the development of the transportation sector through the improvement of road and port infrastructure, seeking to benefit the mobility conditions of people and goods, improving the flow of trade and the regional economic integration of Costa Rica. For this purpose, the MOPT selected road and port projects, all of which are part of a loan from the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB). The second, awarded in 2021, seeks to continue with the improvements undertaken in road infrastructure throughout the country, works that are essential to improve communications, promote economic development and increase the quality of life of the country's citizens. This plan covers various road actions throughout the country, through public-private partnership models, and it is added to the Transportation Infrastructure Program (PIT). It is also framed within the Cooperation Agreements for the financing of Investment Projects between Costa Rica and the IDB.
