After reaching almost 100 municipalities since its launch two years ago, Ineco RuralTIC has consolidated its objective of promoting digitalisation in small municipalities and is launching its third edition.

The engineering and public consultancy Ineco is leading this pioneering initiative which has already reached 33 provinces in 12 autonomous communities and which, as of today, opens registration for town councils with less than 10,000 inhabitants who wish to take part in this new edition of the programme.

The third edition of Ineco RuralTIC will start in November when the company's professionals will travel to the first municipalities selected in the call open from today.

The company's digital nomads will combine their regular remote work with social and economic digitalisation workshops focused on local inhabitants and SMEs. Thus, in addition to demonstrating that teleworking can become a powerful tool for revitalising the rural world, Ineco's professionals are at the disposal of the municipality to contribute to improving technology-related needs.

Social and economic digitalisation

Ineco RuralTIC is based on digitalisation as a lever for social and economic transformation. The company has extensive experience in the sector thanks to a dedicated team of more than 1,000 professionals and a wide-ranging business activity that has enabled it to become one of the main suppliers of technological services for the Administration.

The first axis of Ineco RuralTIC consists of social digitalisation, with training and support in the use of new technologies for the inhabitants of rural areas, with a special focus on the elderly population. Ineco's digital nomads provide the inhabitants with different face-to-face workshops, such as the use of online services to carry out administrative procedures: management of medical appointments, electronic banking, etc., as well as training to learn about aspects of internet security or the digital footprint. In addition, there are personalised attention options according to the specific needs of the participants.

The second axis, economic digitalisation, provides support and advice to the rural business network , through digital positioning, with support for the creation of online services. In this case, the focus is on a practical application of tools that can optimise the activity of small and medium-sized enterprises, such as the opening of a website or the use of social media profiles for positioning in the digital world.

The topics of the workshops given by the digital nomads already cover aspects as diverse as the creation of podcasts, applications with artificial intelligence in the social field, digitalisation for agriculture and livestock or advanced positioning in advertising for local businesses.

Third edition of a pioneering programme that is consolidating its position in Spain

Ineco RuralTIC 3.0 is the new edition of this programme which, over the last two years and up to now, has managed to reach almost 100 municipalities thanks to more than 170 digital nomads who have travelled around a large part of the national territory in a staggered manner. More than 800 digitalisation workshops have reached nearly 5,000 people and 500 SMEs.

Registration process open

Ineco RuralTIC is aimed at all municipalities with less than 10,000 inhabitants that meet certain basic requirements: accommodation to host the digital nomads and spaces for workshops, both with 4G connection.

Municipalities can register here until September 30, so that their application can be assessed.
