Ineco takes another step forward in its commitment to AI with the launch of MAI, a proprietary chat system based on Microsoft Azure OpenAI Service's generative artificial intelligence technology. It is one of the first Spanish public companies to integrate its own intelligent chat into its internal network, which has been piloted by Microsoft partner Plain Concepts. A useful solution for your entire team to improve your day-to-day operational efficiency.

This tool provides users with an interactive experience through the implementation of an intelligent chat linked to Microsoft's cloud services platform accessible via a web page. Thanks to its connection with the company's document base, MAI allows queries to be made while guaranteeing privacy by making use of its own cloud, as if it were just another application on the corporate Intranet.

Widening the use of this technology will reduce the workload in repetitive tasks and facilitate access to relevant information, obtaining immediate and accurate answers on Ineco's own document base, which contributes to a more productive and collaborative work environment.

The launch of MAI (spring 2023) is part of the company's "Impulso a la IA" initiative, which indicates that the company is on good track. With an ethos based on experimentation and collaboration, Ineco's interdisciplinary teams get involved by presenting their proposals on how this technology can help optimise the company's work and improve the services it provides to its clients.

The engineering of the Ministry of Transport and Sustainable Mobility has been using artificial intelligence for nearly ten years, both in projects for clients and in developing its own solutions such as DiGAV (device for automated inspection of railway tracks and data processing with artificial intelligence), TWINECO, (digital twin for transport infrastructure maintenance) or CHARLI, (intelligent application for mapping linear infrastructure alternatives, such as railways, roads, etc).

More details about MAI

Different Microsoft services such as Azure OpenAI, Azure App Services, Cosmos DB, Azure Bot, Azure Search Services, Azure Storage, Microsoft Entra ID have been used to create this tool, which allows employees to have a conversation with chat knowledge.

Plain Concepts' design has taken into account functionalities such as a cross-device application so that users can access and use the website from anywhere, secure authentication, so that they can log in using their existing credentials, giving them secure access and protecting their information. Finally, a chatbot interaction, whereby users interact through a chat interface that allows them to ask questions and receive quick and accurate answers.
The chat can be fed with documents as a source of information for searches, using advanced techniques that yield relevant results, and users will be able to save their conversations and use the context in the future. The solution will be integrated with Microsoft Teams so that users can use the chatbot directly within the platform.

Combining intelligent chat, secure access and a personalised design, it offers a complete and satisfying experience that enhances the interaction with users, its retention, as well as fostering client engagement and improving brand perception.
