Ineco was part of the Spanish delegation that accompanied the Minister of Transport and Sustainable Mobility, Óscar Puente, on his recent visit to the UK. A journey that has highlighted our participation and that of other Spanish companies in the development of strategic infrastructures in the country.
The delegation visited the Silvertown Tunnel works, a project under the River Thames in which Ineco participates as Independent Certifier and which will improve mobility in the East London area. Ineco's experience in the supervision of highly complex tunnels is playing a key role in guaranteeing the successful certification of this infrastructure, which is part of a broader plan for sustainability and improvement of urban transport.
Our company has been working on the development of the HS2 high-speed rail project for more than two decades, working on the preliminary design of the section between London and Birmingham. We currently collaborate with Atkins and Systra on consultancy services for systems integration.
The visit has strengthened ties between Spain and the United Kingdom in the fields of engineering and consulting, showcasing the leadership of Spanish companies in innovation, sustainability, and efficiency in major international projects.
