Ineco hosted the monographic conference on open innovation: "Relations with the Startups ecosystem". An event of the Ministry of Transport, Mobility and Urban Agenda that aims to address the importance of public-private collaboration to boost the innovative ecosystem.

The president of Ineco, Sergio Vázquez Torrón, highlighted the enthusiastic and participative spirit of the teams as a distinguishing feature of Ineco, which is manifested in more than 300 innovative ideas presented in the intrapreneurship calls to propose new approaches. He also referred to the importance of the government's Start Ups Act in motivate the country's entrepreneurial ecosystem.

The entities of the MITMA group have had the opportunity to present their general acceleration programmes: Trenlab, on behalf of Renfe, Puertos 4.0, on behalf of Puertos del Estado, Aena Ventures, as well as the initiatives of Enaire and Crida.

Natalia Díaz, Innovation Manager at Ineco, moderated a round table discussion entitled "How to set up an open innovation ecosystem in a public entity", with representatives from several private sector companies that are part of this public-private ecosystem, such as Barrabés, KPMG, PINN, Valhalla and SILO.

The meeting concluded with the presentation of several successful cases of collaboration between Group entities and startups: Greemko, winner of the 4th edition of Trenlab and technology startup for environmental control, Fivecomm 5G solutions startup, Meep, winner of the 1st edition of Aena Ventures and transport sector startup specialised in MaaS, and ChineSpain, also winner of the 1st edition of Aena Ventures and tourism sector startup focused on Chinese tourism.

The director of the Innovation Office, Ana Rojo, closed the session by highlighting the innovative spirit of Ineco, which has reformulated its strategy to promote, among its team, a culture that fosters entrepreneurship and technological capacity through four annual internal calls for innovation.
