Ineco continues to grow in Andalusia with the opening of a new office in Algeciras. The company aims to increase its presence in this autonomous community, where it already has a team of nearly 300 people working in more than 40 different specialities related to railway and road infrastructure maintenance, technical assistance and project management, energy, operational safety and digital transformation of the administration. This new office will have a new team focused on rail projects to improve land access to ports and the design of freight terminals and workshops.

Algeciras is a strategic location for Ineco. For several years, the company has been working with the Port Authority of the Bay of Algeciras and the railway company Adif to expand and improve the connections of the port, which is the first in Spain in terms of total volume of goods handled and has become the most efficient port in Europe.

From this office, Ineco will manage important references such as the "Last Mile Rail" project, whose objective is to improve the capacity of the rail network of the Port of Algeciras and which was recently awarded European Project of the Month by the European Information Network in Andalusia. This development is strategic for the future "rail motorway" services, which will allow the transport of semi-trailers on trains, connecting with major logistics hubs in Madrid and Zaragoza. The new office will also centralise other rail projects in the ports of Huelva and Cartagena, as well as work within Renfe's workshop plan.

Commitment to decentralisation

In recent years, Ineco has strengthened its commitment to decentralisation, with regional offices in Catalonia, Andalusia, Galicia and Valencia, and several remote production centres in different parts of Spain.

As part of its commitment to developing local talent, the company has also launched new recruitment processes for three vacancies for civil engineering professionals to support the design of railway projects, particularly workshops and railway port facilities, which will complete the team in Algeciras and are already available on the website.
