Ineco representatives at the CIT
San Cristóbal de La Laguna (Tenerife) hosted the 15th Transport Engineering Conference (CIT 2023), in which Ineco participated extensively with a total of six presentations.
Elena Curto, Climate Change and Energy Transition Manager presented the talk: "Sustainability criteria in transport planning and projects and the process of fighting against climate change in transport infrastructure"; while Rodrigo Pérez Senderos, Transport Economics and Policy expert, focused on the new Gran Canaria Mobility Control Centre. "Application of data from connected vehicles for transport planning" and "Pedestrian modelling: rise and importance for its integration in mobility" were the talks given by Carolina Schallibaum and Ángela Barba, Planning and Sustainable Mobility technicians, respectively, at this event. Finally, María Montero, Environment and Territory manager 1, and Raquel Rodríguez, Environment and Territory technician, concluded the conference with their talks on "Digitalisation of the monitoring of chemical weed of infrastructure as a tool for minimising environmental impact" and "Analysis of pollutant emissions in airports".
Under the tittle "Innovation in motion", CIT 2023 has focused this year on digital transformation and energy transition. The coming years will be key in leading change and moving forwards as smart territories and cities, where transport and mobility will play a key role.
