The president of Ineco highlighted the fact that the company has been incorporating artificial intelligence into solutions for its clients for more than a decade
The president of Ineco, Sergio Vázquez Torrón, took part in the conference "Artificial intelligence as a lever for sustainability in engineering and construction", organised by the Professional Association of Civil Engineers of Madrid.
In his speech "Impact of Artificial Intelligence for the Sustainability of the Sector", the president of Ineco highlighted the fact that the company has been "incorporating artificial intelligence into solutions for its clients for more than a decade and is fully promoting our culture to become a benchmark engineering company that leads the application of AI in the design of sustainable infrastructures". In this sense, Sergio Vázquez Torrón pointed out that "innovation linked to AI is key in the fight against climate change because of its application to the maintenance and design of infrastructure" and stressed the importance of "research and development, for example, in materials and construction techniques or the application of AI to improve efficient layouts or predictive maintenance of infrastructure".
Perspectives ranging from the latest innovative developments to projects already underway, as well as considerations from the public sector and academia, were presented. Xavier Flores, Secretary General for Infrastructures of the Ministry of Transport, Mobility and Urban Agenda, together with Miguel Ángel Carrillo, President of the Association, opened the conference, which was also attended by the President of Adif, María Luisa Domínguez González.
