Salomé Fernández and Magdalena Garrigós with representatives of the National Polytechnic Institute (IPN).
Salomé Fernández, America Account Deputy Director, and Magdalena Garrigós, Business Planning expert, represented our company at the annual event to recognise benefactors of the National Polytechnic Institute (IPN) in Mexico.
The event highlighted organisations that, through their support, change the lives of students from underprivileged backgrounds. This year, Ineco has joined this recognition thanks to its Social Grant Programme, which has awarded two scholarships to young Mexican women to continue their studies at this prestigious institute. Both are currently students of Industrial Robotics Engineering and Civil Engineering, and have demonstrated outstanding academic performance despite the economic constraints that made it difficult for them to continue their education. This support, the result of an agreement between Ineco and the Polytechnic Foundation, ensures that both can develop their full potential in key areas for the future.
Ineco's Social Grants programme, which in 2024 allocates nearly 200,000 € and 50 grants, seeks to support young people in unfavourable economic, family or disability situations. The grants include STEM students from Spanish universities, women survivors of gender-based violence, young people supported by Aldeas Infantiles, people with disabilities through the ONCE Foundation, and young people at risk of exclusion through the Norte Joven organisation. This year, the programme has expanded its international reach, benefiting students in Mexico and Costa Rica.
