Technical Conference on Road Heritage. Professional Association of Civil Engineers, Madrid
The technical road association (ATC) and the Association of Infrastructure Upkeep and Operation Enterprises (ACEX) have organised a Technical Conference on Road Heritage at the Professional Association of Civil Engineers, in Madrid.
Ineco has participated by reaffirming its commitment to the conservation and enhancement of the cultural heritage linked to road infrastructures.
During the day, a round table discussion was held on the opportunities for the recovery of historic roads. José Manuel Sanz, expert from Ineco, whose doctoral thesis focused on the historical evolution of pavement design. His participation addressed the key aspects to be detected in the pavements for their heritage valuation, as well as possible ways for the administrations to recognise and preserve these stretches with historical value.
The meeting brought together professionals from the sector to reflect on the cultural relevance of roads and to promote their protection as part of the country's technical and social heritage.
