Ineco has received the prestigious San Telmo Award for its project for the high-speed railway access to Galicia. Pablo Ramos, Europe, Africa, Asia and Oceania Land Account Deputy Directorate, collected this award, as representative of the team of more than 50 professionals who participated in the basic and construction project of the Lubián - Ourense section, Vilariño - Cerdedelo subsection.
The high-speed line connecting Madrid and Galicia has a total length of about 600 km and is one of the largest railway infrastructure in Spain. The subsection from Vilariño to Cerdedelo is about 15 kilometres long and features numerous tunnels and viaducts significantly reducing travel time between Madrid and Galicia.
Organised by the Demarcation of Galicia of the Association of Civil Engineers, these awards highlight the technical, territorial and constructive quality of each action and reward the fact that the awarded infrastructures result in the improvement of the quality of the inhabitants of Galicia, from the environmental and economic points of view.
