The president of Ineco, Sergio Vázquez Torrón, participated in the Digital Enterprise Show DES 2024, together with Salvador Estevan, General Director of Digitalisation and Artificial Intelligence of the Ministry for Digital Transformation and the Civil Service.

The conversation revolved around how Spain is advancing in the digitalisation and adoption of artificial intelligence to transform itself into a more competitive, socially committed and sustainable society. The government is developing strategic policies and partnerships to boost AI in the country and in Europe, creating an ecosystem in which diverse actors contribute value. Ineco has an essential role as an integrator in this ecosystem, collaborating closely with the Public Administration and facilitating the way for the IT industry. For Sergio Vázquez Torrón: "We face a dilemma in the adoption of AI in enterprises: be the first and be the latest, or wait for the most successful solutions to consolidate". In addition, the president of Ineco also wanted to highlight that: "AI allows us to relate to machines as if they were human. The walls between the humanities and the sciences are coming down.

In its eighth edition, DES 2024 featured an exhibition with more than 400 technology companies from around the world and close to 500 top experts sharing their successes related to digital transformation and discussing the impact of digital on the business world and the competitiveness of companies.
