Ineco ends its third annual call for innovation with 20 new ideas to enhance its offer to clients. With more than 150 proposals submitted by MITMA's engineering and consultancy team, the company promotes the creativity and internal talent of its 5,000 professionals to seek new needs of its clients, break down barriers in the way of interacting with them and, in short, innovate in its business orientation.

The development of these projects will enable the organisation to diversify its offer and build client loyalty, as well as position itself in key technologies and sectors such as sustainable energy, predictive maintenance, infrastructure resilience to climate change and smart infrastructure.

The proposals also include new spaces for the generation of ideas, in collaboration with clients, with the aim of co-creating together, or the adaptation of some of Ineco's innovative products to other modes of transport, as is the case of the TEAcompaño (AtYourSide) application for improving the experience in airport terminals, the T-ais accessible information totem, which can be transposed to any public space that requires real-time information for people with disabilities.

For the development of the twenty winning proposals of the business call, Ineco will have the participation of teams made up of more than 25 professionals from more than 15 areas of the organisation.

More than 150 in-house proposals seek new formulas with clients

The Innovation Committee in charge of selecting the proposals is made up of 17 people, including the president of Ineco, Sergio Vázquez Torrón, representatives from all the company's organisational areas, and two external experts from the innovation ecosystem: Ana Alcaine, a prestigious professor at business schools, and Miguel Urrecha, an expert in generating new business models.

This jury was in charge of evaluating the 20 best ideas of the 154 submitted based on their alignment with the company's strategic plan, the capacity for diversification in the client's offer, the commitment to co-creation with the client and the presentation to the Committee.

With a planned investment of 30,000 hours of innovation by 2023, this year Ineco has increased by 50% the budget allocated to finance the development of projects resulting from the four annual calls for innovation that make up the company's new model. In the coming months, the last of the four planned calls will be launched, focusing on social and sustainable projects.
