The future of our sector came together at the annual awards ceremony for the 3rd Ineco Internship and Scholarship Awards Competition and the 5th Engineering Student Internship Awards Competition.

Promoted by Ineco, the Spanish Engineering Institute and the REDFUE (Network of University-Business Foundations), the Distinctions seek to recognise the talent and excellence of students who have stood out for their business practices. The winners receive a cash prize of €4,000 for the winner and €1,000 for each of the two runners-up.

The president of Ineco, Sergio Vázquez Torrón, and the top representatives of the other organising entities, María Cruz Díaz (IIE) and Fernando Martínez (REDFUE), stressed the importance of promoting collaboration between academia and business. "Knowledge is much more valuable if it inspires action and commitment," stressed Sergio Vázquez Torrón.

Álvaro Fernández Heredia, Secretary General for Sustainable Mobility, was in charge of closing this event, which has served to promote the prestige of Spanish engineering and project the talent of future professionals in any discipline of the sector. "Talent must go hand in hand with innovation and technology to continue working on improving mobility and society," he concluded.
