A Vietnamese delegation led by the Vice -Minister of Transport, Nguyen Danh Huy, has visited our offices as part of an institutional trip to learn about our country's experience in the field of rail transport.
Accompanied by Ineco's Commercial Director, Víctor Bustos, the delegation was able to learn more about Ineco's role in the development of the Spanish high-speed rail network and its active participation in high-speed projects around the world, as well as to share different ideas for financing this type of project and expert technical assistance with Ángel Labarga, Commercial Director, José María Llorente, Work Winning Deputy Director, and Pedro Saldaña.
Until 2025, Vietnam will allocate some $681 million from the public investment fund for the railway sector to upgrade infrastructure, expand the existing system and start new routes. A drive that will culminate in the development of a high-speed rail line of more than 1,500 kilometres linking the country's two most important cities, Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City, with an estimated total investment of more than 60 billion dollars and expected to come into operation in 2045.
During their trip, the Vietnamese government representatives also held meetings with representatives of MITMA, Renfe, Adif, CAF and Talgo.
