Carlos Alberto Sandoval is responsible for the third work package

May 10, 2024

A civil engineer with more than 20 years of experience and a postgraduate degree in project management and road engineering, Carlos Alberto Sandoval is working on the expansion of Jorge Chávez International Airport currently being carried out by the company in Lima (Peru). His experience in various infrastructure projects in different countries in the Americas was key to his joining the Ineco team in Peru.

How did you get the opportunity to work with our company?
It was just after the end of the pandemic that we started the rapprochement. I was working in Panama at the time and shortly afterwards, I agreed with Ineco to travel to be part of the team overseeing the Jorge Chávez International Airport contract. As of October 2022, I am a member of the company in Peru.

What does the project you are carrying out consist of?

The expansion of Jorge Chavez Airport consists of the construction of a 3,480-metre runway, a control tower, a new passenger terminal of approximately 260,000 m2, a new 575,000 m2 aircraft apron with 14 MARS-type parking spaces and 39 Type C parking spaces, and the entire access road network and support buildings for the aeronautical complex (on the landside).  Ineco, in consortium with the Peruvian engineering firm Cesel, is helping to make this important milestone for civil aviation in Peru possible by supervising these works for the Supervisory Agency for Investment in Infrastructure Public Transport (OSITRAN), working together with the Peruvian Corporation of Commercial Airports and Aviation Inc.(Corpac) and the concessionaire Lima Airport Partners (LAP). I am currently responsible for the third work package.

What is the opinion of our company in the country?
Ineco is an internationally recognised company. In Peru, it is involved in two of the most emblematic transport infrastructure projects: the construction of the new Central Highway and the expansion of Jorge Chávez International Airport, which speaks for itself of the company's space and the important role it plays in the country.

What should we not miss if we go to Peru?

Its exquisite and varied gastronomy, its multiple natural landscapes and visiting the diverse buildings constructed by all the pre-Hispanic societies throughout the country.
