Name

Diego Jesús Sanchez Garcia

But... how do they use to call you at home?

They call me Diego.

What do you do at Ineco?

My work in Digital Engineering and BIM Management can be summed up with the word "facilitate". On the one hand I support the implementation of BIM at Ineco and on the other hand the automation of BIM processes with the use of programming. Being an architect and having a programming background it allows me to have knowledge of both subjects, which gives me a broader vision when addressing a need.

When did you join the company?

I joined Ineco on April 26  2021. Since then, I have had the opportunity to collaborate with many different management areas with the objective of BIM implementation in the company, while I have been able to develop BIM automations for Ineco, the Ministry of Justice and the General Directorate of Roads.

You have just published "Las mil y una funciones". Can you tell us how the publication of this book came about?

Of course, 'Las mil y una funciones' was born out of my passion for programming and process automation in the field of engineering. Since 2019 I have been involved in programming training for professionals in the world of engineering and architecture, so I have accumulated a lot of knowledge and experience that I wanted to share in an alternative format to courses and masters.

The idea of the book was to provide practical cases and applicable solutions using the Revit API and Python, tools that I consider fundamental in our field. My aim was certainly to facilitate the learning and application of these technologies so that more people can benefit from them.

How do you see the work we are doing in the company in this regard?

I see Ineco at the forefront of adopting new technologies and constantly seeking to improve our processes and services. The implementation of innovative solutions and the use of advanced tools such as Revit API and Python demonstrates our commitment to efficiency and quality. I believe we are on the right path to continue to lead in the engineering sector.

How can we get the book?

The book is available on Amazon, under the name 'TLas mil y una funciones: Casos prácticos con Revit API, Python y co.' At the moment, it is only available in physical format in colour and black and white. I hope it will be a useful tool for all those interested in automation and programming in the field of engineering.

Already have the next one in mind?

Yes, before the end of the year the updated version of the Revit 2025 book will be released and I am already working on the next one, which will be a continuation of the first one. This second one delves into topics such as Artificial Intelligence, the use of the Civil API and some other surprises. My goal is to continue to provide resources that help professionals improve their skills and keep up to date with the latest trends.

What would you highlight about the company?

I would highlight Ineco's commitment to innovation and excellence. The company not only focuses on delivering high quality projects, but also invests in the development of its employees and the adoption of new technologies. The collaborative work environment and the opportunity to participate in challenging and meaningful projects make Ineco an exceptional place to work and grow professionally.
