Name
Paloma Muñoz

Tell us what you do at Ineco
I am currently working as a data engineer at the Ministry of Digital Transformation. Although, when I joined a year ago, I started at the Ministry of Transport.

What are you currently working on?
We are in a project that encompasses the area of data and encompasses new technologies for the digitalisation of companies.

You have just received recognition from the University of Jaén, how did you receive this award?
I am very happy and grateful because I never thought this could happen. It is a long time, and my memories of the University of Jaén and the Polytechnic University of Madrid have always stayed with me. Without that technical background, I would never have become what I am today.

As an expert in digital transformation and artificial intelligence, how do you see the work we are carrying out in the company in this regard?
I think that we are on the right track and with great projects underway. Last week I was able to attend the DES (Digital Enterprise Show) in Malaga and I was able to listen to Sergio Vázquez, our president, and of course his words were spot on. Especially because he emphasized on talent and that is the key to this future. Even if A.I. arrives we need Human Intelligence (H.I.).

Tell us more about engineering and digital marketing.
I come from working at L'Oréal, and I always say that being a mining engineer having worked at L'Oréal is an explosive combination. Thanks to this work experience I have extensive experience in digital marketing and brand positioning. In engineering we often don't know how to communicate, and this is really important for all kinds of projects. Knowing how to write or speak is key to knowing how to position a project or an idea. If we know how to communicate, we will know how to generate engagement. With this we have made good progress . In fact, I usually participate in talks, presentations and trainings focused on this topic.

What would you highlight about the company?
There are exciting projects ahead, we are at the forefront! Thanks to my manager, Alfredo Rodríguez Landa, I have a broad vision of the company and, as I often tell him, I am willing to learn and contribute my talent wherever I am asked to do so. As curious about innovation as he is.
