Ineco, together with the architecture firms Lamela and Kaan and ABT Engineering, is carrying out the design work for the New Terminal-A in the Schiphol International Airport in Amsterdam. Ineco, as an airport engineering firm, provides the consortium with its specific knowledge in this field: airport planning, safety, baggage processing, commercial, airport systems, signs and information, compliance with EASA regulations, maintenance, accesses and platforms.
The airport currently manages 68.4 Mpax/year and the new terminal is expected to increase the capacity by another 14 Mpax/year.

Natural light for the new terminal
The spatial distribution and design of the new terminal are aimed at integrating with the existing airport, the railway station and other possible future expansions. This will be possible thanks to the architectural proposal that has been presented, which expands the spatial amplitude of the terminal and provides different scenarios in an environment filled with natural light. Inside the building, by superimposing passenger flows on different levels, it will be possible to keep the departure hall perfectly differentiated from the baggage claim area. In addition, the access roads to the terminal will be elements for urban integration that will help keep Amsterdam "a compact city". It is also a project developed on BIM technology.
