The European Union has become the first region in the world to legislate on the uses of artificial intelligence, its limits, the protection of citizens' fundamental rights and participation in its governance, while ensuring the competitiveness of our businesses.
Ineco has supported the Secretary of State for Digitalisation and Artificial Intelligence (SEDIA) of the Ministry for Digital Transformation and the Civil Service in drafting the first international regulation on Artificial Intelligence (AI).

An extensive collaboration
Our company collaborates intensively with SEDIA in numerous initiatives based on the Spain Digital Strategy 2026. It has also collaborated during 2024 in the promotion of other actions during the Spanish Presidency of the European Union. Other initiatives include the holding of working groups for the signing of this regulation, the possible adoption of the Council of Europe's Framework Convention on AI and the presentation of preliminary results of the AI Sandbox, which Spain is leading, as well as the launch of the Spanish AI Supervisory Agency.
Ineco also supports SEDIA in other actions, including those carried out in the framework of legislative negotiations related to cyber-resilience, as cybersecurity has become a priority. Or in the negotiations on the regulation for an Interoperable Europe and legislative proposals for the next mandate of the European Commission around Neurotechnologies.
Ineco also collaborates with SEDIA, through its Directorate General for Data, on emblematic projects in the field of data governance. The most relevant examples have to do with the "promotion of a health data space for the massive processing of health information" (Health data lake) or with the "start-up and operation of the Centre of Reference in Data Spaces (CRED)".
With these projects, Ineco has positioned itself as an important player in the development of artificial intelligence in Europe, thanks also to its nearly ten years of experience in its use both in projects for clients and in developing its own solutions.
