Ineco collaborates in drafting the National Plan for Nepal’s Civil Aviation Development. It includes a revision of the country’s aeronautic legislation and of the State Aviation Authority.
Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu is the gateway to the Himalayas for thousands of mountaineers visiting the mountain range. It has two terminals where over twenty international air companies operate, connecting Nepal to other destinations in Asia and the Middle East. Operating deficiencies, lack of personnel and insufficient administrative capacity have increasingly affected the airport’s efficiency. In order to redress these faults, the Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal has implemented a restructuring plan, designed to increase airport capacity from its current 2.5 million passengers to 3.5 million by 2015, and to improve quality and safety conditions.
Technical information
