Ineco participated in the annual "Global Tolling Summit", organised by Seopan and the IBTTA (International Bridge, Tunnel & Turnpike Association). The event, inaugurated by Marta Serrano, Secretary General for Land Transport of the Ministry of Transport and Sustainable Mobility, brought together more than 50 leading companies, including Indra, Acciona, Cintra, Sacyr, WSP, Arcadis, Typsa, FCC, Vinci, Globalvia and Abertis.

During the event, Ineco presented a talk in collaboration with our client in Peru, PMO Vías, in which the challenges and innovations that are being implemented in the development of the detailed engineering project for the New Central Road in Peru were presented.

In his speech, the Work Winning Deputy Director, José María Llorente, shared Ineco's first impressions of the project, which it is developing in consortium with IDOM, CFC, Hualca and Geoconsult. This work represents a significant design challenge, as it includes a 180 km route at high altitude, with dozens of viaducts and more than 35 km of tunnels. In addition, he highlighted the innovative approach in the design of the technical buildings to mitigate the impact of extreme weather, through smart solutions that incorporate local materials and renewable energy, thus contributing to reducing the carbon footprint of the project. He also emphasised the complexity of the construction, which will take place at altitudes of over 4,000 metres, posing significant logistical challenges due to the area's low accessibility.
