The BRIF are a key element in the fight against fires
As part of the collaboration between Ineco and the Ministry for Ecological Transition and the Demographic Challenge (MITECO), our company is in charge of the works management of the new bases of the Forest Fire Reinforcement Brigades (BRIF).
The BRIF are a key element in the fight against fires, thanks to their specialisation and capacity for rapid and effective action in the first hours of a fire. The passage of time, the current labour regulations and the important work of the brigades make it necessary to adapt the BRIF bases, providing them with new provisions: differentiating the functional areas and dependencies required to cover all the housing, administrative, technological and organisational needs that allow them to operate correctly.
Since November 2022, Ineco has been in charge of the construction management of three bases located in Tineo (Asturias), Lubia (Soria) and Cuenca, which will be joined in the following months by Daroca (Zaragoza), Laza (Orense), Puerto El Pico (Ávila) and Pinofranqueado (Cáceres). To carry out this work, our company has a multidisciplinary team of architects, technical architects, civil engineers and industrial engineers.
These works are part of the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan as a work of conservation and restoration of marine and terrestrial ecosystems and their biodiversity, and sustainable forest management.
