Ineco continues with its commitment to making the company's talent visible, promoting equal opportunities between women and men, and generating new spaces that promote the professional development of Ineco's professionals with the opening of the 6th edition of the Mujeres IN Programme and the 2nd edition of the TAP (High Potential Talent) Programme. This commitment has already resulted in 24 women, 45% of the participants in the Mujeres IN programme, and 6 additional professionals, 24% of the participants in the TAP programme, joining the company's management team. Over the last year and a half, the representation of Ineco's female professionals in the company's management areas has increased by almost 10 points, from less than 30% at the beginning of 2022 to almost 40% today A figure that equals the representation of women in the global workforce as a whole and which is well above the percentage of women in technical careers (approximately 25%).

In his speech during the inauguration of the opening day, the president of Ineco, Sergio Vázquez Torrón, highlighted the importance of both programmes in promoting talent, women's leadership and parity at Ineco: "these programmes allow us to step out of the day-to-day and adopt a general vision of the company and the value it provides. Moreover, he pointed out that "rather than getting out of your comfort zone, I encourage you to stay in it: when you feel comfortable, you work better".

With this new edition, the Mujeres IN programme has added 12 new members to this initiative, which provides spaces for valuable relationships, training, tools, resources and methodologies that contribute to the personal and professional development of Ineco women. Following the success of its first edition, the TAP programme will provide 25 people from the organisation with the necessary tools for their professional development through workshops and mentoring sessions. Both initiatives, with a duration of 18 months, have already been extended to professionals from 56 different specialities at Ineco, such as mobility consultancy, sustainability and transport planning, ERTMS, finance and infrastructure maintenance.

The drive for real equality between women and men has favoured the implementation at Ineco of positive discrimination actions in its recruitment and promotion processes, increasing by 2% the remuneration conditions of women compared to men in both processes. Thus, the gender pay gap has decreased by more than 0.9 points to 11.73% by the end of 2023.
