Ineco promotes women's leadership in the management and executive team

July 7, 2023

The president of Ineco, Sergio Vázquez Torrón, announced today, at the opening ceremony of the 5th edition of the Mujeres IN Programme and the 1st TAP Programme, that 17 women have joined the company's management team since January 2022. A commitment that promotes women's leadership and parity in the company.

Over the last year and a half, the representation of Ineco's female professionals in the company's management areas has increased by almost 10 points, from less than 30% at the beginning of 2022 to almost 40% today. A figure that equals the representation of women in Ineco's global workforce as a whole, a figure that is well above the percentage of women in technical careers (approximately 25%).

The Mujeres In and TAP programmes are part of this commitment to making the company's talent visible, promoting equal opportunities between men and women, and generating new spaces that promote the professional development of Ineco's female professionals. The Mujeres In programme is now in its fifth year, with 52 participants taking part, and this year the High Potential Talent programme (in Spanish,TAP) has been added, an initiative that will provide 25 people from the organisation (including 12 women) with the necessary tools for their professional development through workshops and mentoring sessions.

"Only by acting and intervening can inequality be corrected. Leaving matters as they are is not effective. Boosting those who start from a more unfavourable situation: that is the key to progress in the fight against inequality", stressed the president of Ineco, Sergio Vázquez Torrón.
