Our company will mentor one of the groups of students on the Master's Degree in Digital Twin for Infrastructures and Cities at the Polytechnic University (ETSI Caminos, Canales y Puertos). This collaboration is part of Ineco's iCampus Programme, an innovative programme for the promotion of scientific-technical research, knowledge transfer and interaction between experts from the scientific, technical and business community, which already has agreements with three universities.

In this case, the work will focus on the development of a digital twin of the south quay of the port of Huelva, dedicated to lorry and vehicle traffic. The objective is to seek a solution which will allow flexibility in the use of the embarkation and disembarkation areas of the quay according to the expected demand (with a horizon of days). Rodrigo Vázquez, manager at the Planning and Sustainable Mobility Management, will be the mentor on behalf of our company, with the support of Pilar Valiente, manager at the Intermodality, Ports and AGE Agencies Account Sub-Directorate. This use case has been chosen because of the interest it has for our client, the Port of Huelva, who will support the initiative by providing data for the development of the work.

At the same time, Luis Manuel Lozano and Sergio del Pino, from CNS-ATM Systems Management, gave a presentation on Twineco as an example of a successful case to the students. A cutting-edge innovation project that marks the future of the aerospace panorama, based on a digital twin designed for air navigation infrastructures that offers simulation and prediction capabilities that optimise the operation of the infrastructure.
