The president of Ineco, Sergio Vázquez Torrón, together with the legal representatives of the workers, Maribel Santos from CCOO, Erika Villafaina for UGT and Cristina Nieto from CSIF, signed the new Ineco Equality Plan for the next four years on Thursday.

An agreement that thus extends until 2028 with the aim of continuing to make progress towards real and effective equality of treatment and opportunities between women and men, as well as contributing to the elimination of all forms of discrimination against women.

The plan signed includes 10 lines of action focused, among other objectives, on continuing to promote women's leadership at Ineco, which has increased by more than 10 points in its representation in the company's management areas, from less than 30% at the beginning of 2022 to 40% at present. In addition, the new Plan encourages women to access training courses that have traditionally been mostly taken by men, by reserving a specific access quota for women in these courses, and move towards a global integration of the gender perspective in occupational health policy.

Among the key actions are a new protocol for addressing sexual harassment and discrimination based on sex or gender, which streamlines the process for filing any complaints. Also, flexible working hours included in the new support protocol for women survivors of gender-based violence, and the annual preparation of a pay audit to ensure the absence of subjective elements that could jeopardize the principle of equality
