mINerva, Ineco's women's network, has held its second annual awards ceremony. José Antonio Santano, Secretary of State for Transport and Sustainable Mobility, accompanied Sergio Vázquez Torrón, President of Ineco, at this event, which highlighted the career of Mª Ángeles Martí, Executive Vice-President at Airbus, in the mobility sector and Nuria Oliver, one of the leading figures in the field of artificial intelligence, in digital transformation.

In his speech, Sergio Vázquez Torrón highlighted the company's commitment to real and effective equality of treatment and opportunities between women and men, as well as to the elimination of all forms of discrimination against women. "The presence of women in Ineco's senior management is well above the average for companies in the sector, reaching almost 50%," he concluded.

The Secretary of State wanted to emphasise that Ineco, through its "Mujeres IN" training and mentoring programme, is a benchmark when it comes to highlighting and making visible the work of women in the different professions involved in the infrastructure sector, a fundamental part of the Ministry. He also emphasised that the dissemination of careers such as those of the two award winners, as well as the tireless work of the participants in the Ineco women's network, are necessary to perpetuate the culture of equality.

The event was completed with a round table in which Ana Belén González, architect at Ineco, María Esther Mateo, Safety, Processes and Corporate Systems  general director at Adif and Aurea Perucho, director of the Centro de Estudios y Experimentación de Obras Públicas (CEDEX), shared their points of view on the presence of women in the fields of sustainable mobility and digital transformation.

Showcasing Talent

Minerva is an open, collaborative and voluntary network, as well as a reference that serves to support and give visibility to Ineco's female talent. Since its inception in 2021, it has organised numerous activities that contribute to the professional and personal growth of its members and promote lifelong learning in all areas. The network is open to anyone who wants to join via this registration link.

This network was born out of the training and mentoring programme Mujeres IN, which aims to promote the professional development of high-potential women at Ineco.

This programme, which already has more than 60 participants and which this year celebrates its seventh edition, is part of Ineco's commitment to making the company's talent visible, promoting equal opportunities between men and women and generating new spaces that promote the professional development of the company's female professionals.
