Committed to safety, sustainability and innovation on the roads
Ineco participated in the Spanish pavilion of the 16th edition of the World Road Congress held in Abu Dhabi from 6 to 10 October. Casimiro Iglesias, General Manager of National Business; José Ramón Armenteros, Sales Delegate in the Middle East; and Mirian Pinilla, Technical Manager of Road Projects, were our representatives at this event, which this year focused on the main message of its motto: "Connecting Cultures, Strengthening Economies". With the participation of more than 1,200 international experts, leaders in the transport sector, and more than 5,000 representatives of leading entities in the road sector, the Spanish pavilion, coordinated by the Technical Road Association, brought together the main players in the road sector in Spain.
During his participation in the congress, the Minister of Public Works, José Luis Ábalos, visited the pavilion and asked about our RONIN Project, the integrated road-safety management tool that is designed to reduce accidents and optimise predictive maintenance of the road network; in addition to getting a first-hand understanding of the A-76 expressway project, in which Ineco has developed, for the first time in Spain, a pilot project to integrate the of BIM methodology with the GIS system on a road infrastructure project.
Ineco has extensive experience in the development of the roads in Spain, the country with the most extensive high-capacity road network in Europe; and in important projects in Europe and America, such as the supervision of the Guadalajara-Colima expressway concession in Mexico; or the coordination of the works of the São Paulo ring road, known as Rodoanel Mário Covas, in Brazil.
