The Guadalajara-Colima section is a key route within the "Manzanillo-Tampico" corridor, linking the Pacific Ocean with the Gulf of Mexico
Ineco has extended its contract as managing and supervising agent for the Guadalajara-Colima road section in Mexico. This extension reaffirms Banobras' confidence in Ineco's work and guarantees the continuity of the works for an additional 12 months.
The Guadalajara-Colima section is a key route within the "Manzanillo-Tampico" corridor, linking the Pacific Ocean with the Gulf of Mexico and facilitating access to the Port of Manzanillo. With a total length of 148 kilometres, the last segment in the process of being widened to four lanes is the so-called "Mountain Section". Since 2011, Ineco has played a key role in the supervision and management of this project, consolidating its experience and technical capacity in the road infrastructure sector in Latin America.
The extension of the contract allows our company to continue its work in supervision, monitoring the activities of the motorway operator and maintainer-rehabilitator. Also it is in charge of technical consultancy and planning of the motorway, with the promotion of additional services to improve it or advice on electronic toll collection, interoperability and optimisation of infrastructures.
With this expansion, Ineco reaffirms its commitment to the development of key infrastructures in Mexico, contributing to the modernisation of transport and mobility in the country.
