IngenioSOS: Engineering for Developing Countries

March 31, 2025

IngeniOSOS, Ineco's corporate volunteering programme, has demonstrated since its creation how engineering is a powerful tool for bringing about change in developing countries.

Thanks to the dedication of Ineco's professionals and in collaboration with various social entities, IngeniOSOS has carried out projects that have significantly improved the quality of life of disadvantaged people all over the world.

IngeniOSOS is made possible thanks to nearly 90 people from the Ineco team who collaborate with 16 social entities. This initiative is now in its seventh year, with 21 performances in 15 countries such as Ethiopia, India and Haiti.

IngeniOSOS projects cover a wide range of sectors for community development. These include sustainable energy initiatives, such as the installation of solar energy systems in hospitals and clinics, or infrastructure rehabilitation projects such as the improvement of educational and health centres, providing safe and appropriate environments for education and health care.

This programme has already received recognition from Corresponsables in the category of Public Administrations and Companies for its work in sustainable development and improving the living conditions of vulnerable groups, as well as the Rafael Izquierdo Solidarity Award from the Civil Engineers Association.
