More than 50 Spanish municipalities have signed up for the third edition of this programme in which the company's digital nomads telecommute temporarily from towns of less than 10,000 inhabitants, combining their professional day-to-day work with activities that promote local digitalisation, based on the needs expressed by the local inhabitants and SMEs.
The municipalities of Ribadedeva (Asturias), Carrizo, Grajal de Campos and Murias de Paredes (León), Higueruela (Albacete), La Roda de Andalucía (Seville), Haría (Las Palmas), Villada (Palencia), Talaván and Navas del Madroño (Cáceres), Saucelle (Salamanca) and San Esteban de Gormaz (Soria) have been the first to welcome the company's teams in this edition with the aim of improving the digital skills of their citizens through the training that Ineco RuralTIC offers in digital communication, email, instant messaging, online banking and shopping, administrative procedures, internet security, etc., as well as helping local SMEs with workshops on technology for small businesses, digital positioning and electronic procedures.
Thanks to nearly 200 volunteers, in these three editions we have already been able to deliver almost 1,000 digitalisation workshops, advising more than 500 SMEs and sharing knowledge with more than 5,000 people.
